Gustav Klimt - “Judith”
Art reproduction on canvas in the „Leonie“ frame
In this version, Gustav Klimt’s „Judith“ appears as a striking image that blends biblical motif, portraiture and ornamental composition. The figure emerges frontally from the dark pictorial space, whilst her gaze, her inclined posture and the surfaces that appear precious create a tense calm. Klimt, one of the defining artists of Viennese Modernism, combines sensual physicality with decorative rigour in this work. Golden accents, clear contours and the dense surface effect make the figure appear both close and ethereal.
The reproduction measures 34 × 67 cm and is executed on Leonardo (Satin) canvas. The finely textured, satin-finished surface renders the dark areas, the soft transitions and the ornamental details in a balanced manner. The motif is mounted on a stretcher frame and extended in a mirrored pattern at the sides, giving the edges of the picture a seamless appearance.
The work is framed by the classic “Leonie” decorative frame in black with a gold edge. With a width of 59 mm and a height of 26 mm, the frame subtly echoes the dark overall mood and the golden accents in the image. A concealed hook-and-eye hanging system discreetly completes the design.
