The exquisite picture frame "Imelda" sets extraordinary highlights in gold and red tones. The real wood frame of a rather narrow profile with slight gradations has a chalk base on red poliment. It is covered with leaf metal in first-class craftsmanship. The graduated edge is rubbed through to the red. The resulting fine ruling gives the frame a special adornment and harmonizes pleasantly in color with the dominant gold tone. The black outer edge provides contrast and underscores the framing effect. The light speckles make the patination look light and unobtrusive. The back of the classic frame in high quality finish is also decorated with gold leaf metal.
