FineArt Photo Baryte

Hahnemühle Gloss Baryta

Since the invention of photography in the 19th century, baryta paper has become one of the classic photo papers. The largely cellulose base paper is provided with a layer of baryte, which is applied, inter alia, for smoothing. This is followed by a photosensitive emulsion of gelatin and silver bromide, then again a layer of gelatin. For a long time, baryta paper was the photo paper for black and white photography par excellence. An elaborate exposure procedure in the darkroom and the subsequent, enormously time-consuming washing and subsequent drying let each Barytpapierabzug itself become a treasure to this day. In fact, baryta paper has the highest durability of all photographic papers and is therefore the preferred medium for archive recordings.
With its improved coating formula, the glossy Hahnemühle Photo Gloss Baryta 320 is a paper suitable for all art prints. It has a not quite pure white, provided with a subtle natural tint color. Acid-free and made of 100 percent α-cellulose, it meets the requirements of ISO 9706 certified aging resistance. With its enormous detail sharpness, the large color space, a particularly homogeneous surface and a gloss between chandelier and high gloss it is exactly the right thing for the friends of the classical photography. Because it makes the properties of a very high-quality baryte carton from the era of analogue photography available for fine art printing.
The Hahnemühle Photo Gloss Baryta 320 ensures excellent printing results; The result is high-resolution images in exceptional quality. This unique appearance is the result of high professionalism and many years of experience of the traditional company Hahnemühle.
