The first thing that catches the eye in this picture is a consistently sloping meadow in the foreground. In the central area there is a sloping plain running in the opposite direction with water, ducks and an overgrown bank. In the background there is another horizon line running in the opposite direction, but at an angle rather than horizontally, cutting through the neighboring plain.
The painting shows different, seemingly competing planes, which were perhaps originally part of a coherent world. However, this is pure speculation and a theory about this work. Just as the continents were originally united to form a primeval continent, there appears to be a break with a previous version of the world in this painting.
For conservationists and environmentalists, it is immediately apparent that this break between past and present is worrying in light of today's climate changes.
The original is an oil painting on canvas from 2020 measuring 30 x 40 cm and was created in the artist's studio in Berlin-Mitte.
We recommend this picture here as a high-quality art print to enrich your individual interior design.
