In the picture you can see on the left side Adam, who looks almost relaxed, lying on the floor. Michelangelo may have painted Adam in this posture to show that God has not breathed life into him. Unlike Adam's attitude, God works actively and dynamically, as if working hard in His creation. God floats surrounded by numerous putti, in front of a large red cloth in the background. According to studies by a neuromedicine, the representation of God, with his helpers and the red cloth, corresponds to the cross-section of the human brain. This should probably reflect the unity of mind and body. Also conspicuous is the god instead of wearing royal robes and being portrayed as an almighty ruler wearing only a light tunic. Michelangelo, on the other hand, is characterized by the use of bodies that are muscular as well as the painting of figures that look like sculptures. One must remember that Michelangelo was not a painter but a sculptor.
