The Eve picture frame combines solid wood with a finely grained, antique white finish. Warm beige-brown tones are left exposed in the recesses and along the edges. This makes the flowers, beaded trim and outer ornamentation stand out more clearly, without intruding too strongly into the foreground. Side lighting brings the relief to life with small, soft shadows. Measuring 20 mm in width and 19 mm in height, Eve has a compact, almost box-shaped body. Above this lies a slightly projecting front panel: A narrow step leads up to the picture opening, followed by a calm area featuring regularly arranged flowers. A delicate row of pearls frames this central section, whilst a continuous leaf motif forms the outer border. This clear layering draws the eye and gently guides it into the picture. The ornamentation is reminiscent of painted decorative frames from the late 18th and 19th centuries, such as those used for small portraits, floral pieces and prints. We particularly recommend Eve for botanical illustrations or landscapes in delicate colours. It looks at its best when the artwork features light-coloured paper backgrounds, muted colours or fine lines. We like to choose it for tranquil living spaces, country-style interiors and walls that would benefit from a subtle decorative accent.
