Tim Scott Bolton

British landscapes contain a beauty that is unique in Europe. Works of art created by landscape architects who have combined manor houses and high garden design to form a unity. For a long time the ensembles of manor house and greenery stood in the shadow of French Baroque gardens. Thomas Gainsborough put English landscape painting at the centre of art in the middle of the 19th century. Almost 100 years later, a painter was born who discovered his love for English mansions and romantic garden landscapes as a child, and many of the former mansions had come close to decay. Tim Scott Bolton nevertheless developed a great love for the buildings when he explored them together with his mother. Today Bolton says the profession of the artist spoils him with painting the country houses. Capability Brown was one of the most famous landscape gardeners who gave the gentle hills of Great Britain a face. Tim Scott Bolton followed in his footsteps and transferred the art in nature into modern times. The result is a painter's homage to an artist who follows the same intention.

Tim Scott Bolton finds inspiration and impulses on journeys. The Bolton couple lived in Kenya for some time. Back in England the couple opened a gallery. Here the great landscape motives got a home and a place was created where Scott shares his love for painting with others. Scott regularly travels to distant countries to paint. If many artists appreciate the solitude and peace, Tim seeks the company and exchange with other painters. Scott leads a life for art and uses his popularity to draw attention to regions of the world that are on the dark side. As a painter, Scott succeeds in making any landscape, no matter how inconspicuous, shine with a brilliant light. With an artistic eye, the painter discovers harmony in places whose beauty lies hidden. The colour palette moves at the edge of reality and leaves the viewer the classification of reality. Scott prefers watercolours and oil for his depictions. The passion with which he collects landscapes on an international scale is reminiscent of a photographer. In 2017 Scott accompanied the Prince of Wales on a European tour and used a lot of time for painting. There are few artists who convince with so little eccentricity and such a high degree of love for art.
