Surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Austrian AlpsrnSimon Hafele was born in 1985 in West Tyrol, where he was inspired by the picturesquernbeauty of the elemental elements of nature. After travelling through India, Cambodia,rnNepal, Thailand and Laos, Simon brought with him the kind of inspiration thatrnthat would prove crucial to his development. Numerousrnexperiments with different types of colour and light preceded hisrnhis unique style - a pictorial language that (still) emphasises the in-between, therntranscendent experience of (as yet) non-existent worlds into fascinatingrnpaintings with luminous, often fluorescent colours and leaves an unmistakablernunmistakable trace of recognition.
