My full stage name is Esagil Orlingas, I make digital works from abstract preconceptions or photographs that I create using my phone. All this, however, makes sense to me because it interacts with that part of the subconscious that is occluded in consciousness but theoretically has the capacity to elaborate logical concepts through an internal 'discussion' with my active and awake spiritual part. This part idealises a mystical path through the works travelling from story to story concerning each work highlighted by the observer. The observed is the work itself, my subconscious in which I spontaneously reflect and recognise myself. This is why I have included Jean Desire Gustave Courbet's painting 'The Desperate Man' as I see myself like a drop of water in that very painting, I just stare at it as I do not know whether to be thrilled or frightened by it. A dilemma that would perhaps be better left to chance but which will always accompany me on this journey in search of me. ---Temet Nosce
