Old photography people

952 Discovered works of art
The art of the 19th century experienced one of the most significant changes due to a chemical-physical phenomenon. The invention of photography enabled the creation of an image and the reprinting of the motif. While portraits of hitherto time-consuming illustrations and seemingly captured snapshots with patient extras and sketches were possible, photography enabled a realistic snapshot and the capture of movement.
From the middle of the century, photographs and extended travel opportunities opened up the transfer of foreign cultures to artists' exhibition spaces.
Photographers were witnesses on the battlefields, showing heroes in uniforms and the cruel reality of the war. Historical documents were created, photography grew together with the press and visualized the happenings of the time.

At the end of the 20th century, photography gained recognition as an art form. Portraits showed people in a single moment. Great photographers like Nadar never lacked models, the special depictions inspired the French society. The "painting with light" pulled the artists out into the streets. Daylight made it possible to capture the population on the way to work and in their activities. Hard-working people became objects in art. An old photo album with glued-in black and white photographs, whose jagged edges show light gilb, and rustling parchment pages, the viewer immediately seeks to wander over the old photographs of the people. The search for a familiar face, the interest in the life of the ancestors lets us spend hours over an album. It is similar with photographs of unknown origin, the look immediately finds the faces and tries to fathom the story behind the photo.
